So, after a longer-than-expected hiatus, I finally have news to report: my new comic is one of the 8 entrants of this month’s competition on Zuda. It’s called “The Rise and Fall of the Three Kingdoms”, and it’s based on the famous “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” (I know, big surprise). I was going to just call it Romance of the Three Kingdoms and be done with it, but apparently for legal reasons that’s not allowed. Hence the slightly awkward name. Anyway, you can see the new comic here. And if it doesn’t win, I’ll continue the comic here, so I’m happy either way (all this time away is giving me a major case of comic drawing withdrawal)

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre. I was only in grade school in Hong Kong back then, but I can still remember the sense of disbelieve and revulsion that I felt as I saw the atrocities unfold on the news. A blog on a little comic is probably not the right venue for discussing an event of that magnitude, so all I’ll say here is I hope those brave souls who perished that night are resting in peace, and I hope that one day soon the Chinese people would progress to the point where we can honestly admit to, and atone for, this dark episode in our history.

Ta-da! Tales from the Middle Kingdom finally has its own website.
To build this website I got a lot of useful info from 2 resources: Back to Bascis by KEZ, and the Comicpress tutorial by BeerTycoon. Many thanks to both of them.
Next on to-do list: use massive fortune that is sure to follow to finish construction of personal Death Star…
